Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Shaker Cards

Hello Stampers!
Thanks for stopping by. As you may well know by now, this month's hop is all about shaker cards. WOW, do the Layering Framelits and new Foam Adhesive Strips make this an easy process!! I am also giving you a "sneak peek" at some new products from the Holiday Catalog that goes live on September 1st.

These adorable gingerbread gals are in the new catalog and have a PUNCH to go with them! I am so excited about that!! What else can you spy??
Check out the foam adhesive strips that make the shaker card so easy to assemble.
And, of course, the inside of the card...I had the designer series paper from cutting the shaker circle. I just had to punch out this little cutie!! I reverted back to last year's stamp set, Snow Place, which is still current, for the Merry Christmas sentiment.
I hope you like my card and that it inspires you to try your hand at a shaker card.

Now, it is my pleasure to introduce a new member of the Stampers Dozen...Rachel Yurkanin.
Hop on over to her page to welcome her and see what she has in store for you.
Happy Stampin'!

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - 2 STEP STAMPING

Welcome Stampers!
Whether you are starting here or joining me from Patty or Carol's blog, welcome to this month's hop. The theme this month is 2-step stamping. Of course, I wanted to be an "over-achiever" so I did THREE-step stamping!! LOL.  Here is my simple, fun creation...

For my cupcake, I used Blushing Bride stamped off, Blushing Bride again and finally, on the top layer, Flirty Flamingo.  For the cake part, I used first and second generation Crumb Cake and topped it off with Soft Suede.  The fun swirls, cut from the Cupcake Cutout thinlits, are Flirty Flamingo accents on the side of the focal point. The photograph does not show the silver Sequins but they add such a festive appearance to this card.

I finished the inside with a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock sponged with Flirty Flamingo and stamped in the same.  I hope you will enjoy using the Cupcake Cutout thinlits and Sweet Cupcake stamp set as much as I do. Now, it is time to hop over to see what Patty has in store for you. Thanks for stopping by!!

Flowery Thinking of You

 Hello Stampers!
I have been meaning to show you this card I made by accident.  It came about when I was creating 2x2" card candy swaps for On-Stage Live in April. After I had 15-20 of them made, I re-read the email to find out exactly how many I actually needed only to find out that the card candy swap was to be NEUTRAL with a POP of color. OOPS!! I had COLOR with a pop of neutral. So, I went back to the drawing board for that swap and used these 2x2 pieces as the focal point on cards for a full card swap.  (Lucky I sign up for multiple organized swaps, huh?)
Below is an up close and personal look at the "card candy."

The Melon Mambo piece is 2"x2", Mossy Meadow 1.75" square and the watercolor paper 1-5/8" square.  The flower from Flower Shop was heat embossed with white embossing powder then the watercoloring with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight with a pop of Cherry Cobbler at the center and watered down Old Olive for the background.  After dry, I flicked gold Wink of Stella onto it and added Crystal Effects in the center. It is actually quite nice in person.
You can see all the items I used to make this card below. If you do not already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love to be your demonstator! You can order directly from me for it to be delivered directly to you by clicking on any of the icons below.  Thanks for stopping by!

FIESTA like there's no manana!

 Howdy Stampers!
I think this Birthday Fiesta stamp set is one of my favorites out of the new catalog. Yes, I like all the flowers and all the new bundles but this llama is just SO MUCH FUN to play with!! I made this "fancy fold" card for a team swap.  It is smaller than a regular card so I had to make the envelope. NO problem with the envelope punch board and a page from the retired catalog  :-)    The folded, final card measures only 3" x 4-1/4"
His hat was cut from the coordinating designer series paper!  Did you know that this sombrero fits the bear from Bear Hugs too?  It does!!
Here is the card folded shut.  I love this very festive designer paper!
Here are the first two panels open...
And the last two.
"FIESTA like there's no manana"  was stamped directly onto this piece of DSP.
Want the measurements?
Start with a card base of  4-1/4" x 11"
Score at 1-1/2, 3, 5-1/2 and 8 inches
The designer series panels are cut 4" x 1.25",  (2) 4" x 2.25" and the last panel is 4" x 2.75"
